Soul Sessions Oslo and MUNCH invite you to a hip hop battle and jam at the Munch Museum! Make sure come earlier if you want to use the cloakroom. Large bags, food and drinks must be left behind. Space is limited, so it's wise to arrive early. First come first served! 7-to-smoke battle with cypher prelim. 23 November 2024, at 17.00 Free ticket for those under 25 years! Tickets is collected at the counter on arrival. Those over 25 can buy a standard entrance ticket to the museum to attend. Dancers sign up to battle HERE Deadline to sign up is Nov 20th!

The evening starts with a jam, i.e. an open dance floor where a DJ plays hip hop music! The judge eventually selects eight dancers who will dance against each other in a 7-to-smoke battle. Here, eight participants meet in a battle. Who can win more than seven in a row? It's an intense battle-style with a high tempo and a good atmosphere!

Arif is a well-known Norwegian Hip hop artist, now with his own exhibition that opens a space for community. Community and hip-hop are focus areas for Soul Sessions Oslo, and therefore we are very happy to be able to contribute to the exhibition ARIF AT MUNCH! • Interactive update of Danseinformasjonens tidlinje (streetdance in Oslo 1965 til 2021) , where everyone can add their own and other people's stories.
